The way to see the islands people know by name without rushing either. Start in St Maarten, take St Barths over the weekend and Anguilla for the beach picnic, then slip out after dinner for the one overnight passage of the trip, eighty miles west with the trade wind behind you, and wake up in the Virgin Islands with a week ahead: the Baths, Anegada, Norman Island, Jost Van Dyke and St John, finishing in St Thomas for the direct flight home.
We run it west on purpose. The same passage east, from the Virgins to St Barths, is a long night into the wind. This way most guests sleep through it. Superyacht charters start on any day of the week, so the route stands on its own. If you want the crowd and the DJs in St Barths, we line your dates up so those two nights fall on a Friday and Saturday. Legs are approximate, at a steady ten knots, and the captain adjusts them for the weather on the day.
