CORAL OCEAN, 73m
A €35 million rebuild, project-managed in house with our own contractors.
The largest owner-run rebuild of its kind, and Best Rebuild at the 2023 World Superyacht Awards. The same team now runs shipyard periods for other owners.
Manage · Yacht management
Crew, class and flag, maintenance, insurance, berthing and the accounts, handled by a team that has owned and operated 15 yachts of its own. One named manager, one monthly report, no surprises on the invoice.
Yacht management is the administration and oversight of a yacht's operation on the owner's behalf: her crew, her compliance, her maintenance, her insurance and berthing, and her money. The point is that you enjoy the boat and someone else carries the day-to-day.
Not the same as charter management
Yacht management runs the boat. Charter management fills her calendar: marketing, brokers, enquiries and contracts. Take either on its own, or both. How charter management works
A person in Sydney or Antibes who knows the boat and the crew, answers the phone, and is accountable to you. Not a ticket queue.
Class and flag maintained, surveys managed, internal audits done before the external ones, ISM, ISPS and DPA support where the yacht needs it.
A weekly, monthly and annual programme run through maintenance software, with warranty claims chased and the yard booked before the season, not during it.
Spend against budget, crew changes, maintenance done and due, and charter income if the yacht works. Readable in five minutes.
Ahoy Club was founded in 2018 by the Malouf family, who have owned and operated 15 yachts and live on board for more than half of every year. Our leadership is ex-crew and owners, so we know both sides of the arrangement. Other owners' yachts are run by the same team, on the same systems, to the same standard as our own.

Our crew
Recruited, trained and retained by a leadership team that has stood on both sides: as crew and as owners.
MISCHIEF, 54m
A €15 million refit in 2024, nominated at the 2025 World Superyacht Awards, on the yacht that is now the busiest superyacht in Australia.
A management plan is built for the yacht, from fully managed to a shorter list of what you want covered. This is the full programme. Third-party costs, the yard, the diver, the surveyor, the software licence, are passed through at cost with an agreed markup, never hidden in the fee.
The maintenance software licence itself is not included in the fee.
A yacht that is looked after every week costs less every year. This is the programme our own crew run, exterior, interior and engineering, and what it looks like on yours.
Every week
Every month
Hull bottom cleaning is done by contract divers and is not in the package fee.
Every year
We schedule and oversee these; the third-party costs are passed through at cost, not included in the fee.
We have run the most successful crew recruitment in Australia for several years and keep an extensive database of qualified crew. We recruit, train and retain, and we invest in upskilling to a standard that is hard to find elsewhere. Our leadership is ex-crew and owners, so the culture we hire for matches the owner and the vessel, not just the job description.
Permanent crew sourced, vetted and onboarded, and temporary crew for a season, a delivery or a gap.
End-to-end payroll for everyone employed on the yacht, with the legislation met in every jurisdiction she works.
We invest in upskilling because crew who stay know the boat, and a boat whose crew stay costs less to run.
We hire for values that match the owner and the vessel. Our leadership has been crew, so we know what a good fit feels like on board.
Transparency is the foundation of the brand. You see every supplier cost and trade invoice, the markup is agreed in advance, and any discount we win from a supplier is passed on to you.
A budget prepared with you before the year starts, then spend against it every month, with forecasts and the pattern of where the money goes.
An AMA is a float you provide against a pre-approved list of items, so upkeep is never waiting on a last-minute approval or transfer and the yacht stays in prime condition.
Every supplier cost and trade invoice is visible to you. The markup is agreed up front, and discounts we win from suppliers are passed on to you.
If the yacht charters, we manage the Advance Provisioning Allowance for each charter. Payment processing on your behalf is available as an option.
When the yacht goes to the yard, our team oversees the maintenance, repair or refit so the project stays on schedule, the deadlines hold and the cost is managed. We have run many shipyard periods, the largest being the rebuild of the 73 metre Lürssen CORAL OCEAN, the biggest in-house rebuild to date and winner at the 2023 World Superyacht Awards. MISCHIEF followed in 2024: stripped to bare metal, finished six months ahead of schedule.
It runs the yacht on the owner's behalf: crew recruitment and payroll, class and flag compliance, surveys and audits, planned maintenance, insurance, bunkering and berthing, budgets and accounts. Ahoy Club adds one named manager and one monthly report, so you know exactly where the yacht and the money stand.
No. Yacht management runs the boat. Charter management fills her calendar: marketing, broker relations, enquiries, contracts and APA. Ahoy Club offers both, and an owner can take either on its own or combine them.
Third-party costs: the yard, contract divers, engine and generator servicing, safety equipment servicing, surveyors and the maintenance software licence. These are scheduled and overseen by us and passed through at cost with an agreed markup. Payment processing on your behalf is an optional extra.
An AMA is a float the owner provides to the management company to buy items from a pre-approved list. It means routine upkeep never waits on an urgent approval or a balance transfer, and the yacht is kept in prime condition between owner visits.
Both, and new builds too. A private yacht's plan focuses on readiness, compliance and your schedule. A charter yacht adds charter co-ordination and income reporting. A new build is managed from delivery through the first season and the warranty period.
From Sydney and the Côte d'Azur, with yachts in Australia, the South Pacific and the Mediterranean. Our own fleet works both hemispheres, so the systems and the suppliers are already in place.
Yes. Plans run from fully managed to a shorter list of what you want covered, for example compliance and accounts only. You receive what you need, nothing more.
Where she lies, how you use her and what is not working today. We will come back with a management plan, a budget and the name of the person who would run her.
