About the Custom Line 106

The Custom Line 106 is a 33-metre motor yacht from Custom Line, the semi-custom arm of Italy's Ferretti Group, launched in 2019 with exterior and interior design by Francesco Paszkowski, who worked with Margherita Casprini on the interiors. Its defining idea is glass: floor-to-ceiling windows run the length of the main deck, and a full-height glass door slides away so the saloon and the aft deck become one open room. The aim was to give a fast boat the light and openness of a much larger yacht, and it worked — the 106 won its class at the 2020 World Superyacht Awards.

Life aboard centres on the main deck, which flows as a single level from the owner's suite in the bow — spanning nearly the boat's full width, with two dressing rooms — through the dining area and saloon to the open aft deck. Four more cabins sit below: two doubles in the middle of the boat and two twins, every one with its own bathroom, sleeping ten guests in all, while a crew of five works from separate quarters. Up top, a 53-square-metre flybridge handles lunch and sunbathing, and a second lounging space on the foredeck means ten people can spread out without queuing for the same sofa.

Fifteen were built between 2019 and 2025, when Custom Line replaced the model with the newer Saetta 106, so every 106 on the market today is a recent, proven boat rather than a new order. It competes with fast Italian yachts of similar length such as the Sanlorenzo SL106, Azimut Grande 32 Metri and Mangusta GranSport 33. What sets it apart is the pairing of real pace — a planing hull, one that lifts and skims across the water, reaching 26 knots — with a main-deck owner's suite and open-plan living normally found on slower, larger yachts. Its range of about 1,100 nautical miles suits coastal cruising rather than ocean crossings.

It suits owners and charter groups of up to ten who want to cover coastal distances quickly, live mostly in the open air, and keep a main-deck owner's suite as the private retreat.
