About the Azimut Grande Trideck

Azimut launched the Grande Trideck in 2021 as the largest model in its range: a 38.2-metre motor yacht with exterior lines by Alberto Mancini and interiors by the Italian architect Achille Salvagni. Its defining idea is what Azimut calls 'three decks plus one' — a half-raised terrace at the stern, slotted between the main and upper decks, so the yacht steps down to the water in four cascading levels rather than the usual flat-backed three. The builder's aim was simple: on most tri-deck yachts this size, guests live stacked above the sea; here, every level opens onto it.

The owner takes a full-beam suite forward on the main deck, filled with natural light, while four en-suite guest cabins sit below — two VIPs aft and two further cabins forward — with a five- or six-cabin layout sleeping up to twelve guests, looked after by a crew of around six. Day to day, life gravitates aft: breakfast on the upper deck's outdoor dining area, afternoons on the Sea View Terrace — a 30-square-metre platform hovering a couple of metres above the water — and swimming from the beach club below it, which opens on three sides because the tender stows sideways in its own garage.

Around 25 Grande Tridecks were built between 2021 and 2025, putting the model in company with the Benetti Oasis 40M, Custom Line 120 and Westport 125 — the class of 35-to-40-metre yachts built in series rather than as one-offs, which keeps ownership costs and resale values predictable. What separates this one is engineering as much as architecture: a carbon-fibre superstructure trims roughly six tonnes of weight, and the hull is shaped to cruise economically at low speeds yet still reach 23 knots — 25 with the larger engine option — with a range of about 1,700 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The Grande Trideck suits groups of up to twelve — families especially — who judge a yacht by its outdoor spaces and time spent at the water's edge, and want that in a proven, series-built package rather than a custom one-off.
