Azimut introduced the Grande 36 Metri at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2022, with exterior lines by Alberto Mancini and interiors by Rome-based designer Achille Salvagni. The three-deck, 35-metre design is built around one idea: an upper deck — the first of its kind from Azimut — that runs as a single walkable level from stern to bow, with glass walls that retract on three sides so the sky lounge becomes one open terrace. The model also belongs to the builder's low-emission generation, pairing a hull shaped to burn less fuel across a wide spread of speeds with a carbon-fibre superstructure that keeps weight down.

Life on board centres on that open upper deck, but the layout works hard everywhere. The owner sleeps forward on the main deck in a full-width suite with two bathrooms and a walk-in wardrobe, so the best sea views require no stairs. Four guest cabins sit below — two doubles and two twins, all with their own bathrooms — sleeping ten guests in total, with up to six crew housed separately. Because the tender garage moved forward, the stern platform folds down into a genuine beach club at the waterline, and at the opposite end of the boat a glass-sided whirlpool waits on the foredeck.

Production ran from 2022 until 2025, when Azimut replaced the model with an updated version, the Grande 36M Evo — so buyers today are mostly choosing between recent, lightly used examples. Rivals include the Sanlorenzo SD118, Sunseeker 116 and Benetti Motopanfilo 37M; against that field, this Azimut took Best in Show at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Twin MTU engines deliver 24 knots flat out, an 18-knot cruise and roughly 1,500 nautical miles of range. For charterers, the five-cabin, ten-guest arrangement is exactly the format most groups want, with the main-deck owner's suite as the clincher.
