MAXIMUS III

Maximus III is an exceptional long-range displacement yacht purpose-built for adventure in both warm- and cold-water climates. Delivered in the summer of 2025, Maximus III has already completed extensive voyages throughout the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and Alaska. Following her Alaska adventures, she completed an offshore Gulf of Alaska passage from Sitka to Prince Rupert, British Columbia, through Dixon Entrance. During this passage she encountered seas of approximately seven feet and demonstrated the comfortable, capable seakeeping expected from her long-range displacement design.

Powered by twin Caterpillar C-18 engines, Maximus III delivers a smooth and comfortable 12-knot cruising speed. Her estimated range is 3,790 nautical miles at 12 knots with a 10% fuel reserve. At 10 knots, her estimated range increases to approximately 3,948 nautical miles with the same 10% reserve.

Designed for extensive cruising with reduced exterior maintenance, Maximus III uses teak selectively and incorporates durable, proven systems from established marine manufacturers. The result is a yacht built not only to look exceptional, but to remain practical and manageable throughout extended cruising in both warm and cold climates.

A change in health circumstances prevents the owners from spending the time aboard they had envisioned. Throughout the build, they worked closely with Greg Marshall Design and enjoyed the collaborative craftsmanship of Crescent Custom Yachts, making regular shipyard visits an integral part of the process. The result is the timeless interior styling and capable adventure platform that define the Crescent 120.

The owners took great pride in creating an interior that is elegant, welcoming, and designed to stand the test of time. Combined with true transatlantic capability and an expedition ready platform, Maximus III is exceptionally well suited for long range passages and extended cruising in remote destinations.
