About the Maritimo M75
The M75 is Maritimo's flagship — a 23-metre flybridge motor yacht from the Australian builder's Gold Coast yard, revealed in late 2021 and launched in July 2023 after more than 120,000 hours of design and tooling. The in-house team, led by design director Tom Barry-Cotter, shaped it around the feature that defines every Maritimo: a fully enclosed, air-conditioned upper deck — the skylounge — reached by an internal staircase rather than an outside ladder. Maritimo builds boats for long ocean passages, and the point is simple: a second living room with the best view on board, usable in any weather.
Life aboard spreads across three levels. Below deck are four cabins and three bathrooms, sleeping eight guests (ten with an optional layout): a master suite spanning the boat's full width, with a king bed and walk-through wardrobe; a VIP cabin under the bow; plus twin and bunk rooms. The staircase serving them is a wide, light-filled atrium rather than a dim corridor. The main deck carries the saloon, galley and a shaded cockpit for outdoor dining, while guests gravitate to the two ends — the skylounge above, and the Adventure Deck at the back, a hydraulic swim platform with modular furniture that becomes a beach club at anchor.
Maritimo doesn't publish production figures, but each M75 is built by the family-owned yard on Queensland's Gold Coast, and reviewers rank it against the Sunseeker Ocean 156, the Riviera 78 Enclosed Bridgedeck and the Horizon V77S, with new examples priced from roughly US$5.4 million. The case for the Maritimo is engineering over glamour: conventional shaft drive that is simple to service, 10,000 litres of fuel, and a deep-keeled hull shaped for rough offshore water, giving a top speed near 30 knots and a relaxed cruise in the mid-twenties. This is the boat you choose to actually go somewhere, in any season, without weather cancelling the trip.
It suits owners and charter parties who want a true long-distance sea boat — comfortable in any weather and workable with little or no crew — rather than a marina showpiece.
