About the Custom Line Navetta 38

Custom Line, the semi-custom superyacht brand of Italy's Ferretti Group, launched the first Navetta 38 in 2024, with exterior lines by Filippo Salvetti and interiors by ACPV Architects, the Milan studio of Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. It is a displacement yacht — a hull that pushes through the water rather than skimming across it, trading speed for steadiness, efficiency and space. The idea that defines it sits at the stern: cockpit and beach club merge into one platform of more than 70 square metres, with terraces that fold out over the water, built for owners who want to live at sea level rather than above it.

Twelve guests sleep in five cabins: a roughly 40-square-metre owner's suite on the main deck with floor-to-ceiling windows, plus four guest cabins on the deck below. Days gravitate to the stern, where swim platform, beach club and cockpit sit on one level, so swimming, sunbathing and lunch flow together without ladders or stairs. The tender — the small boat that runs you ashore — stows in its own garage back there, keeping that space clear for people rather than kit. The sundeck runs about 15 metres, ringed with glass instead of solid rails, and a separate lounge in the bow gives you somewhere private when the harbour side gets busy.

This is a series build rather than a one-off: the third hull was in the water by March 2025, barely a year after the first, so resale and support will not hinge on a single orphan boat. Rivals at this size include Sanlorenzo's SD line and Moonen's 122 Martinique. The practical case: twin 1,400-horsepower MAN engines give 15 knots flat out and around 2,800 nautical miles at 10 knots, while measured volume stays just under 300 gross tons — a gauge of internal space, not weight, and the line above which crewing and safety rules get heavier. You pick it for waterline living and calm, long-legged cruising, not pace.

It suits charter groups and buyers who measure a week by hours spent in and on the water — swimming, tenders, long lunches at the stern — rather than by how fast they got there.
