About the Custom Line Navetta 30

The Navetta 30 is the smallest yacht in Custom Line's Navetta range, launched in October 2020 by Italy's Ferretti Group to replace its outgoing 28-metre model. Filippo Salvetti drew the exterior; Milan studio Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel designed the interiors. What defines it is simple: three full decks plus a sundeck on a 28.4-metre boat. Yachts this length usually make do with a half-height wheelhouse squeezed between decks, but the Navetta 30 carries a complete upper deck with its own lounge and shaded dining terrace — and still looks long and lean. The builder's brief was to prove a small yacht could live like a big one.

Ten guests sleep in five cabins, each with its own bathroom: the owner's suite on the main deck, then two doubles and two twins below, all with dressing rooms. Days revolve around the stern, where the transom lifts like a tailgate to free the tender and jet ski from their garage, and a floor folds out into a beach platform at the waterline. Dinner for the whole party happens at the shaded upper-deck table, with a sunbed-lined top deck above. Under way she is unusually quiet — the owner's cabin measures 44 decibels at ten knots, about the level of a library — and stabilising fins steady her at anchor.

Twenty hulls were delivered between 2020 and 2025 and the model remains in production — a strong run in a class where rivals include Sanlorenzo's SD96 and Gulf Craft's Nomad 101. The displacement hull, a shape that pushes through the water rather than skimming over it, caps speed near 15 knots but returns a steady ride and a range of more than 2,000 nautical miles at ten knots; at its 13-knot cruise it burns about 15 per cent less fuel than the model it replaced. People choose this one for the full upper deck and the calm, unhurried way it covers distance — big-yacht life without big-yacht length.

It suits an owner or charter party of up to ten who want the space, quiet and range of a much larger yacht in a size that still slips into berths bigger boats cannot.
