Greenland's capital, humpbacks at the fjord mouth, Arctic char at Qooqqut, a glacier off the ice sheet and the Norse Western Settlement.

The Greenland National Museum, with the 500-year-old Qilakitsoq mummies, and the colonial harbour, then board.
Humpbacks at the mouth of the fjord
Into the Godthåb Fjord, with humpbacks feeding at its mouth. A RIB out to them with the guide.
The idea of the week
Wild Greenland with a capital city on the doorstep and direct international flights. Nuuk is lively and surprising, and the Godthåb Fjord behind it is one of the longest fjord systems in the world: humpbacks at the mouth, salmon and char in the rivers, a glacier coming straight off the ice sheet, and the ruins of the Norse farms at the end.
The days are the route we would suggest. On board, the captain sets the final one around the ice, the weather and the wildlife, and every week can be reshaped around your group.
What the week costs
The yacht's published weekly rate, plus an Advance Provisioning Allowance, customarily 30 percent, for fuel, food, drink and berths, plus local VAT where it applies. Every listing shows its rate.

Everything we know about Northern Europe: when to go, where the fleet is and the other weeks we have planned.
Open Northern EuropeWoven into the week
The parts of the week that need a phone call before you arrive: tables, guides, instructors and the toys on deck.
ARCTIC carries one of the largest tender fleets in charter: Zodiacs and RIBs for the glacier fronts and the whales, kayaks and paddleboards for the still mornings, dive gear and room for an ROV. Wherever she anchors, there is a way onto the water or the ice.
Someone always goes first. A swim in the fjord or among the ice, straight into the Jacuzzi on deck or the sauna, and a story you will tell for years.
We always recommend it. A full-time guide is what opens the doors: the orca days, the Sámi families, the farm dinners, the hidden beaches the guidebooks do not have. It is the Explorer level on ARCTIC's listing, and where we start every plan.
A helicopter on board turns a glacier into a lunch stop. Landings on the ice, flights over the peaks, a dinner reached by air. Where it can fly depends on local permits, which we arrange before the charter.
Every week here is seven nights because that is how ARCTIC's programme runs, but any of them can grow. Two regions back to back is the trip of a lifetime: the fjords then the Arctic Circle, or Iceland then East Greenland.
