Ski from the yacht in spring, hike under the midnight sun in summer: the Lyngen Alps, the outer islands, Sommarøy's white beaches and Senja's peaks.

Lyngenfjord · Under the Lyngen Alps
Into the Lyngenfjord, the Lyngen Alps rising to 1,833 metres on one side. The first afternoon on skis or on foot, depending on the season.
The idea of the week
Alpine peaks straight out of the sea, quiet fishing islands and the island of Senja, all within reach of Tromsø airport. In spring it is one of the great ski-from-the-yacht weeks in the world: skins on at the tender, ski back down to it. In summer the same mountains are a hiking week under the midnight sun.
The most active week in the programme, for groups who want to be out all day and in the hot tub after.
The days are the route we would suggest. On board, the captain sets the final one around the ice, the weather and the wildlife, and every week can be reshaped around your group.
What the week costs
The yacht's published weekly rate, plus an Advance Provisioning Allowance, customarily 30 percent, for fuel, food, drink and berths, plus local VAT where it applies. Every listing shows its rate.

Everything we know about Northern Europe: when to go, where the fleet is and the other weeks we have planned.
Open Northern EuropeWoven into the week
The parts of the week that need a phone call before you arrive: tables, guides, instructors and the toys on deck.
We always recommend it. A full-time guide is what opens the doors: the orca days, the Sámi families, the farm dinners, the hidden beaches the guidebooks do not have. It is the Explorer level on ARCTIC's listing, and where we start every plan.
ARCTIC carries one of the largest tender fleets in charter: Zodiacs and RIBs for the glacier fronts and the whales, kayaks and paddleboards for the still mornings, dive gear and room for an ROV. Wherever she anchors, there is a way onto the water or the ice.
A wood-fired sauna on the water, with a jump into the fjord between rounds. The Norwegian way to end any day.
Someone always goes first. A swim in the fjord or among the ice, straight into the Jacuzzi on deck or the sauna, and a story you will tell for years.
Untracked powder a short helicopter hop across the border, with a certified mountain guide and a picnic lunch in the snow. Part of the Ultimate level on ARCTIC's listing.
A private jet to Arvidsjaur and a frozen lake to yourselves: an Alpine A110 or a Porsche 992 GT3 on ice tracks with an instructor. Part of the Premium level.
A helicopter on board turns a glacier into a lunch stop. Landings on the ice, flights over the peaks, a dinner reached by air. Where it can fly depends on local permits, which we arrange before the charter.
Every week here is seven nights because that is how ARCTIC's programme runs, but any of them can grow. Two regions back to back is the trip of a lifetime: the fjords then the Arctic Circle, or Iceland then East Greenland.
