Hobart to Barnes Bay 18nm
During the 1919 influenza epidemic, Barnes Bay was used as a quarantine location for putting infected passengers off ships. The Bruny Island Quarantine Station on the Lennonville property on Quarantine Bay is a must visit site for anyone interested in Tasmanian history. If History is not for you then across the bay is the House of Whiskey which is a spectacular representation of the Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky Industry. Home of the highly sort-after Trappers Hut single cask whisky releases and Seclusion limited release gins. Both exclusive to the cellar door and online shop.

Barnes Bay to Great Bay
Want to wrap your lips around an oyster that’s so fresh it’s like you’re being kissed by the ocean? Get Shucked is a locally owned and operated oyster farm and bar. The oysters are harvested, shucked and plated up daily! You’d be hard pressed to find a fresher oyster or a more authentic experience. At the Bruny island Cheese company they make cheese, brew beer, bake bread, grow grass, raise beef and produce organic milk on an island at the edge oof the world. We can organize private tastings where you will learn all about the cheesemaking and brewing process and get an understanding of the farm and philosophy.

Great Bay to Recherche Bay
Recherche Bay is in every way the end of the road - a quiet, idyllic bay in the far south of Tasmania beyond the Huon Valley. There are three small settlements on Recherche Bay - Catamaran, Recherche Bay and Cockle Creek. These are the most southern communities in Australia. A signpost at Cockle Creek marks the most southerly point in Australia accessible by motor vehicle.

Recherche Bay to Port Arthur
The Port Arthur Historic Site is Australia's most intact and evocative convict site and one of Australia's great tourist attractions. Located on the Tasman Peninsula, the site has more than 30 buildings, ruins and restored period homes dating from the prison's establishment in 1830 until its closure in 1877. During this time around 12,500 convicts served sentences and for many it was a living hell. If you are brave enough you can join a lantern-lit walking ghost tour to experience the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site by night. Port Arthur can seem a very different place after sunset, full of mystery and intrigue.

Port Arthur to Fortescue Bay
Fortescue Bay is popular year round, and on arrival you’ll see why. This is a beautiful place to reconnect with nature. Here the towering forest meets the sea, wildlife abounds, and your biggest care will be choosing what to do. Swim, snorkel, scuba dive, kayak, fish, rock climb, bushwalk, bird-watch ... or just lie on the wide, white sandy beach where the clouds drift overhead and the waves endlessly tumble to shore. You might be lucky enough to see the local fur seals.

Fortescue Bay to Pirates Bay
The island state of Tasmania offers some truly exceptional offshore, deep sea and game fishing opportunities. Eaglehawk Neck boasts Tasmania’s longest and richest bluewater fishing tradition, and no doubt deserves the oft-quoted title of the Apple Isle’s game and sport fishing capital. Tasmania holds approximately six world records for southern bluefin tuna! There are world-class scuba diving sites in this area, including the famous Cathedral Cave, the historic wreck SS “Nord”, or the magical sponge garden at Sisters’ rocks. Dive with very playful Fur Seals or meet the bizarre Weedy Seadragon. There are sites suitable for divers of all levels of experience from novice to technical.

Pirates Bay to Wineglass Bay
Regularly making it into Worlds Best Beaches lists year on year is Wineglass Bay. Encompassed within the Freycinet National Park, it is considered one of the top ten beaches in the world. Nestled in the iconic Hazards range and bordered with pink granite peaks, Wineglass Bay is the most photographed view in the entirety of Tasmania. More than 500 plants have been recorded within the park, with over 80 species of orchids being sighted. It is also home to a plethora of wildlife including wombats, wallabies, quolls, Tasmanian Devils, and long-nosed Potoroos. A wide variety of bird species exist such as Sea eagles, Black-Cockatoos and Green Rosellas. Offshore, seals, bottlenose dolphins and southern right whales are regular visitors
