With over 25 years of experience in the maritime industry, Dean studied Nautical Science and Southampton university in the UK. Using this as a base to launch his career, Dean went on to obtain certifications as a captain for vessels up to 200 gross tons, chief office on vessels up to 3,000 gross tons and office of the watch for unlimited tonnage. This varied background has given Dean a unique and extensive knowledge and skills in vessel operations and management.
What is your best yachting experience?
There are countless memorable experiences in my career, but the one that stands out is my first arrival in Sydney by sea. Entering Sydney harbour for the first time was memorable considering Australia is now home.
